Our Angora Goats |
![]() |
Sheridan: Our only black Angora goat. Sheridan is definitely the dominant male of our herd. He is a large buck, and with his huge horns, may seem a bit intimidating at first, but he is surprisingly easy to care for, and very affectionate. His fleece is soft, thick, and semi-glossy. |

Delenn: The Matriarch of the female herd. She insists on being the first goat to be fed, and even then, asserts her authority by butting the others regularly. Her fleece is extremely soft, and all the offspring she has produced thus far with Sheridan, her mate, have that same “special softness” as she has in her fleece, but that is not present in her personality. Pictured with her offspring Xaria. |

Opal: The most challenging of all our Angoras. Very skittish around people, she is the most gentle and maternal of all our goats. Opal is a small Angora, so we don’t get as much mohair from her as we do the others. However, she produces great offspring, and is very maternal towards them for a long period of time. |

Willy: The first goat born to our herd, Willy was born 1 week after we obtained his parents, Sheridan and Delenn, which came as a great surprise to everyone. He is also very gentle, and was handled so much as a young goat, he can be very affectionate if in the mood to be. The mohair we obtain from him is very shiny and soft. |

Xray: Opal’s firstborn, he is definitely a mamma’s boy, and becomes very anxious when she is not around. He is a very small Angora, like his mother, and will never be as large as his sire, Sheridan. His fleece is super-soft, fine, and will likely stay that way for quite a few years, since he is a whether. |

Xaria: Also the offspring of Delenn and Sheridan, we are in a bit of a quandary with her. Even though she has excellent fleece, she cannot be bred to either Sheridan or Willy, since she is related to both, so she is destined to be the mate of a pygmy goat, to produce offspring that are referred to as “pygora”. Her favorite thing to occupy herself is to stand on chairs, and play butting games with the other young goats. |
